so its been quite a busy week, first we did the cat boarding, then on friday morning we did first tracks up at the ski hill, i meant we could board for a full hour before it opened up to the public, we were planning on going down to whitefish in the U.S. first thing but after it started snowing and didnt stop on thu night we thought first tracks would make more sense, then head down to whitefish in the afternoon
me and ryan were pretty excited by the whole thing

the first trackers, chris, keavy, me and ryan

everyone about to take of at the top of the bear chair

when we got into cedar bowl, we noticed there had been a bit of an avelanche, doesnt look very big until you see the size of the snow boulders that came from it

see what i mean! if that hit u at high speed it would pretty much squish u

it was such a nice sunny morning and we had the whole place pretty much to ourselves, no public, yipeee

keavy and chris geting ready to head down cedar bowl, think keavy was doing her stretches in preperation

at about 10.30 we felt like we'd been boarding for a full day so we headed home had some lunch and headed over the border to whitefish, seems like so long ago that i was here to catch the train to go and see debbie, i was very tempted to stay over and get the train again to go see her

kinda sums america up

the hustle and bustle of whitefish town centre

we also went to kalispell as we hear that they had a shopping mall, ooooh, we were pretty excited, it was so wierd being in proper big shops again, with lots of people! i bought a top and some board shorts for my summer hols surfing in tofino :) linda was desperate for some shoes, any shoes!! but alas she didnt find any suitable, she did however try on this fetching pair of hillbilly high heel sandals, yeeehaaaa (it wasnt her choice of shoe i made her)

and on our way back we passed this rather attractive saloon, we were tempted to go in for a beer but thought that our lives were more important!

we then went back to whitefish, had some dinner, cheap beers (a pint was only $2.50 compared to $5 in canada) then headed home avoiding suicidal deer on the way, 3 times there were deer crossing in front of us, and there the size of horses!! hit one of them and it disaster!
